  Dr. Mitra was the cardiologist on duty when my grandmother was admitted for observation at our local hospital. Though his medical knowledge can not be disputed, his bedside manor is non-existent. He refused to listen to the patient or any of her family when their words contradicted his opinion. When I tried to tell the Dr. that we already knew that may grandmother had a weak heart and that she simply wished to go home and visit her own cardiologist, Mitra bullied the 85 year old woman into staying under his care by telling her that her doctor was incompetent and that if she left his care he would not be responsible if she died. this man took it upon himself to change her medicine regimen without consulting her current doctors. If you want a knowledgably doctor in his field then by all means use Dr. Mitra. If you want a Dr. that will take your feels and concerns into consideration in the course of your care then this Dr. may not be for you.
